Community. That word is the closest I can come to describing ten years of JNOW.
When Randy and I started this little venture, we expected it to be hard, and it was. Starting a business is scary, and growing it brings a whole different set of challenges. What I didn’t expect was how many people would become part of the JNOW family and impact our lives forever. People who believed in us, and in our idea that positive stories needed to be told.
There aren’t enough pages in this magazine to thank everyone who has made 10 years of JNOW possible, but you know who you are. You’re the folks who took a chance on us or wanted to be a part of our mission to do something good for our community.
Behind the scenes, there’s an entirely different community that makes JNOW possible. The advertisers in every edition pay to be there, and that is how we pay for the ink, paper and talent to tell stories about our community. These businesses know that you, our readers, are pretty awesome people, and they choose to keep their money in our community by using JNOW for their marketing.
Thank you to each business who has trusted JNOW with your marketing dollars — from the first ad we ever sold to the websites and Google ad campaigns we now offer. We will never take that for granted.
I often joke that once you’re a part of the JNOW family, you always will be (kinda like the mob but in a happier way). Wanda, Kayla, Jamie, Ethan, Austin, Lauren…you are the dream team. Thank you for making JNOW happen everyday.
Our community embraced “the little magazine that could” when we were no more than an idea, and it is a tremendous honor to spread a bit of happiness through our pages.
