Mollie Renfrow will be providing a flower block quilting class once monthly, guiding attendees each class through a quilt block featuring a heritage flower based off of a historic original. Deep tradition makes for deeper flavor… In collaboration with Broadslab Distillery: Not many families can say they helped pioneer a state-wide industry, but Jeremy and Shelly Norris have family roots that run all the way to the sunrise of NC moonshine distilling. Generations later, they’re still at it! In this experience you’ll have a chance to visit Broadslab, North Carolina’s first farm distillery. You will learn about their role in the deep history of farming and distilling in Johnston County, explore the beautiful Broadslab farm where they grow and eventually distill all their product, and finally taste some of their authentic and diligently-made moonshine.
