The 1.5 hour class will explore watercolor technique, integrate art and design principles all while having fun being creative andexpanding your skillset. Friends of the Clayton Library Used Book Sale

The Clayton Center @ 111 E. Second St.

The Friends of the Clayton Library used Book Sale will be held in the Town Council Chambers at the Clayton Center on April 12-13. Friday hours are 1-7 p.m., and Saturday hours are 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. There will be a large section of gently used books, including adult and children's fiction and nonfiction in addition to DVDs, CDs and puzzles. Books may be purchased individually or by the shopping bag full. Friday bags will be $15, and Saturday's will be $10. Proceeds help support the Clayton Library's many projects and programs.

Sip and Spin – Wheel Throwing Fun Night

Enjoy your favorite adult beverage while you (wheel)throw down! Getto know the pottery wheel in thisfun, adult only class. You'll learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. Students will then be set free with multiple balls of clay to practice until their heart’s content (and 8:30pm:). Event isBYOB and Snacks! Feel free to bring a small cooler to keep beverages cool. Guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed! Students may choose one piece to be finished by staff. They will hand trim and glaze your piece with one glaze of your choice. We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln. Dressingfor a messy class is recommended. Join us in Artmosphere’s new clay studio space!
