The concert series is available to residents and visitors alike to come and enjoy some great music outside with friends and family. They are scheduled once per month ona Thursday night from 5:30pm – 9:00pm. The concerts will be located on North or South Raiford Street, depending on sponsors. Southern charm meets philanthropic flair as the Junior Women's League of Smithfield proudly presents its ninth annual Big Night Out fundraiser. The beautiful Barn at Broadslab in Benson will be the perfect backdrop for an "Evening of Boots and Bowties." THE BASICS ​Date: Friday, May 17, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. | Doors open at 6 p.m. Location: The Barn at Broadslab - 4676 NC Highway 50 S, Benson Attire: Casual/Cocktail; Boots and/or bowties encouraged, but not required BIG, BIG PLANS ​Reverse Raffle: This is the ticket to all of the excitement, with a grand prize of $10,000 up for grabs. Only 350 tickets will be sold. Need not be present to win. Live Music: Kick up your heels with The Main Event Band, a 7-piece ultimate party band that performs beach music, R&B, funk and jazz. Silent Auction: Bid on premier items and experiences in our silent auction. Bling Ring: It's your time to shine in this fun game of chance. Purchase as many bling rings as you'd like for $20 each, and the last one standing takes home the real bling! Cuisine: Savor the flavors of the south - BBQ pork, brisket, green beans, slaw, mac & cheese, BBQ Potatoes, banana pudding and brownies. Libations: Quench your thirst with a cash bar offering a selection of beer, wine and spirits. Wristbands for unlimited beer and wine are available for $25. The bar will accept cash and cards for your preferred spirits. TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets are $100 and cover event admission and meals for two guests and one entry into the Reverse Raffle for the chance to win the $10,000 grand prize. Need not be present to win. Attendees must be at least 21 years old. A limited number of tables are available to reserved for $150. Please note that purchasing a table does not grant you access into the event or an entry into the reverse raffle. Opening up the night is Clayton’s own Bruce Naegelen, a singer-songwriter-type who plays classic rock, pop, country and folk covers from the 60's, 70's, 80’s and some originals. 12th Annual Johnston County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta 5K Walk/Run

The Johnston County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. (JCAC) is hosting its 12th Annual Johnston County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. “5K Walk/Run and 1-Mile Fun Run." on Saturday, May 18, in Clayton. The "Physical & Mental Health 5K” is a fundraiser to support community service programs benefiting Johnston County. This year a portion of proceeds will benefit the Harbor of Johnston County in Smithfield. Harbor of Johnston County is the only nonprofit agency for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and families in transition.
