Whether you’re a total beginner or just love that boho vibe, this class is perfect for you. Led by instructor Jenn Smith, you’ll learn all the basics, from starting your macrame piece to mastering several cool knots and adding wooden beads to your design. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a beautiful, handcrafted plant hanger – plus, everything you need is included: cotton cord, wooden beads, a 6-inch clay pot, soil, and a pothos plant! Bring your favorite drinks and snacks to sip and snack while you craft (B.Y.O.D. & S.), and feel free to shop for extra pots and plants after class. All kids must be accompanied by an adult. The event is rain or shine, so let’s get knotting no matter the weather! This event will be held at Smith’s Nursery, a family-owned and operated nursery and produce farm with over 40 years of experience. Multiple generations of the Smith family have joyfully welcomed visitors to their home. They offer a lovely farm market, and after the class, you can cool off with a delicious cold treat or explore the nursery and perhaps take home some plants. The Smiths are community-driven, supporting local organizations and artists through workshops like this one. They aim to make their farm a place where families can experience nature together, friends can gather for a cup of coffee, or individuals can stop by to relax on the front porch swing.

Discover the unique process of turning goat milk and tallow into quality soap… In collaboration with The Wool Family Farm: Get ready to join artisan soap maker Evelyn Wool in a hands-on goat milk soap making workshop. In this workshop, you will learn how to make goat milk soap using natural ingredients found in your kitchen, like tallow or lard, olive oil, coconut oil, essential oils, foods, and spices, specifically using the cold process method. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with the farm’s endearing Nubian dairy goats and Mangalista pigs, adding a personalized touch to this enriching experience. Embracing the spirit of autumn, this time we’ll incorporate pumpkin purée into our recipe and add a farm walk into the mix! The class will take place outdoors under a spacious tent, rain or shine. You will receive a comprehensive list of safety tips and materials, together with a goat milk soap recipe and detailed instructions for creating your own nourishing bar of goat milk soap at home. As a special thank-you for attending this workshop, you will also receive several bonuses, including a tallow balm recipe, a gift box containing two bars of goat milk soap, and a discount QR code for use at The Wool Family Farm’s online Farm Market & Soap Shop! About The Wool Family Farm: In 2010, Robert Wool was hand-digging a pit for a water feature when a vision struck his wife, Evelyn, of their family on a beautiful farm surrounded by nature. When Evelyn shared her vision with Robert, she expected him to scoff and tell her it was a silly dream. Instead, Robert looked up at her and said, “Let’s buy a cow.” Four years and a 600-mile move later, they did, and they now raise cows, Mangalista pigs, and goats in addition to making beautiful soaps and writing darling, farm-themed children’s books. Check out The Wool Family Farm here.

Premium seats include meeting the group for Q and A at 5:30 With more than half-a-billion streams, over 4 million albums sold, and 11 GMA Dove Awards to their credit, Selah’s Allan Hall, Amy Perry and Todd Smith have earned a reputation for not only delivering compelling new anthems but also for reviving great hymns of faith. With their soaring harmonies and distinctive lead vocals, they have breathed new life into timeless musical treasures that have ministered to believers for generations. They have also populated culture with such enduring hits as “Press On,” “Wonderful, Merciful Savior,” “You Raise Me Up,” “Hope of the Broken World”, “All My Praise” and more. The members of Selah are grateful to hear how God has used their music to impact others, and they treasure the times when fans share that with them. “From the beginning, our words have been comfort and encouragement,” Hall says of Selah’s music, “and I don’t think that has ever changed as part of our mission.” Sharing the gospel and encouraging believers has become a way of life, and they are grateful for the opportunity to serve. “One thing I always go back to is hope,” Smith says with a smile. “Hope has always been a big theme in our music. When you look back at history, God brought people through the Bubonic Plague. God brought us through a Civil War. God brought us through WWI. God brought us through the Depression. He brought us through WWII. He brought us through Covid. If you look back at all the times in your life where you felt overwhelmed, there’s still always hope. He always carries you through!” https://www.facebook.com/events/1178398470110015/
