The Clayton Chamber of Commerce (CCOC) recently hosted its Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony, bringing together business leaders, educators, volunteers and community members to celebrate the individuals and organizations making a meaningful impact in the Clayton area.
The event recognized excellence across business, education, nonprofit service, and community leadership. The 2025 winners are:
- Business of the Year: The Jewel Box
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Decks Plus LLC
- New Business of the Year: The Clayton Magnolia Inn
- Super Star Teacher of the Year: Rahwa Ewell, East Clayton Elementary School
- Volunteers of the Year: Shannon Sellers and Tara Abernathy
- Citizen of the Year: Pastor Ester S. Suarez
- Gratitude Award: Melissa Overton
- Non-Profit of the Year: Clayton Area Ministries
- Key Contributor Award: Simon Garen
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Posthumously awarded to Joyce Lee Blackley
- Leaving a Legacy Award: Kyle McDermott
