CLAYTON – The Clayton Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast and Awards on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The Church at Clayton Crossings. Presented by Grifols, this event honors the individuals who serve and protect our community every day.
Attendees will enjoy breakfast, a display of first responder vehicles, and an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding service and dedication from our local heroes. Awards will be presented to service members of Clayton’s Fire, Police and Utilities Departments, as well as Johnston County EMS responders.
The Clayton Chamber Foundation will present scholarships to local first responders through its UCB First Responders Scholarship Fund, supporting their continued education and professional development. In 2024, the Foundation awarded $8,000 in scholarships. That investment in our local heroes is growing in 2025, with $12,000 in scholarships set to be distributed.
Tickets to attend the breakfast are now available at claytonchamber.com. A portion of every ticket sold will go directly to the Scholarship Fund, allowing the community to play an active role in supporting the future of its first responders.
