Howell Woods will host Birding for the Outdoor Enthusiast Saturday, May 6. Are you looking to learn more about the birds you see around your yard, or a nearby park or outdoor area? If so, join a local wildlife biologist James Sasser on a guided walk around Howell Woods and learn how to identify many of the bird species commonly found in our region. Discover some interesting natural history and conservation practices. There will be a short indoor presentation on basic bird identification before heading out on the trails around the Learning Center to listen for, watch and identify the birds along the way.
