Celebrate Valentine’s with the Moonlight Swing Band – The MoonlightSwing Band, now in its 10th year,is an eighteen-piece big band that plays all the tunes you know just from growing up in America, songs you can hum along with even if you don’t know the words. For this show, you’ll hear some of your favorites, old and new, such as My Funny Valentine, Just the Way You Are, Fly Me to the Moon, Moondance, Fever, And I Love Her, I Will Follow Him, When I Fall in Love, and Tommy Dorsey’s classic from the eraof the Greatest Generation, I’m Getting Sentimental Over You. So whether it’s The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, or The Lettermen, this is one show you don’t want to miss. The band recently performed at Carter-Finley Stadium for NC State’s homecoming game against Clemson, played for the grand re-opening of the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium on the campus of Johnston Community College, performed at the Raleigh Convention Center, and for the grand opening gala of Wilson’s Whirligig Park, and the band’s Christmas shows are always a holiday hit.
