Please join us for our free outdoor live music and artisan vendor community event. We will have the Swingsters Union Band preforming live jazz on the lawn with artisan vendor tents for browsing and picking up unique treasures. Bring a lawn chair/blanket to enjoy the family friendly event. We will have 2 food trucks, dessert truck, craft beer and wine to nourish. We will have our grand opening for our NEW Clay Studio with live demos, plus the historic house converted to art gallery will be open for viewing and shopping local art and a Plant Sale and Raffles!! Free parking on the grounds. Well behaved pets allowed on leashes and under control of owner.

Artmosphere Community Arts Center, 3919 Raleigh Road in Clayton, will host an "Adventure in Oils & Cold Wax" workshop Saturday, May 20 from 1-3:30 p.m. This expressive and fun medium will have participants loosening up their inner creativity. Participants will experiment by mixing oil paints with cold wax on both paper and wood. Adding the cold wax to the oils expedites the drying time and allows you to create rich multiple layers to your painting. Participants will learn about the wide variety of tools and techniques that will give depth and reveal exciting colors in your works. Included will be demonstrations on blending, mark making and collage to enhance pieces. The cost for the workshop is $78, which includes all materials. For more information, call 919-938-8015.

Paint and Sip for January will be held Friday, Jan. 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Artmosphere Community Arts Center, 3919 Raleigh Road, Clayton. Come out to paint a colorful winter landscape. Participants will receive step by step instructions. All materials are included. Feel free to bring refreshments such as wine or other beverages and enjoy responsibly. Masks are currently optional.
